We thank Troy Ah Yo, Sensei’s visit to the Sanchin Bushi Karate School in Fort Kent, Maine as a guest instructor. All attending students (as well as this Sensei) benefited from Troy Ah Yo Sensei’s vast experience. His unique approach while using “life scenario” simulations brought a different perspective to their “situational awareness training” drills. He also assisted in evaluating the students and offered new methods to help challenge them with critical thinking exercises.
When not actively training, Ah Yo Sensei was shown a small portion of the local area and introduced to some of the rich culture and French-Acadian heritage unique to Fort Kent and the surrounding area. Perhaps one of the most significant points that were reinforced with Ah Yo Sensei’s visit was the strong sense of brotherhood and family that is the foundation of the Sanchin Bushi Karate System.
We of the Sanchin Bushi Karate School of Fort Kent are grateful to Ah Yo Sensei for taking time from his busy schedule to visit and share with us. A great time was had by all.
